San Rafael police arrested two suspects accused of making threats with a broken glass bottle and a box cutter.

The incident happened at about 1:45 p.m. Monday at Tamalpais and Fifth Avenues in downtown, San Rafael police Officer Kaitlin Maley.

The suspects had asked two people on the street to purchase alcohol for them. When they declined, one suspect, identified as Feliciano Estuar Orozco Fuentes, 25, grabbed a beer bottle and punched one of the victims.

The other suspect, Santo Sapon Taum, 34, allegedly wielded a box cutter and waved the blade at the victims, Maley said.

Orozco Fuentes and Sapon Taum, who have no fixed address, were booked into Marin County Jail on assault allegations. They remained in custody Tuesday in lieu of $50,000 bail each.
