Novato police are investigating a shooting Tuesday involving the occupants of two cars outside a 7-Eleven.
The shooting happened at about 10:50 a.m. at the Diablo Avenue store at the corner of Center Road. The police department received reports of an argument followed by gunfire, said Lt. Chris Jacob.
The participants were gone when police arrived. Investigators determined the shooting involved people in an older silver Ford Taurus and a white Toyota Camry. The cars headed east on Diablo Avenue toward Highway 101.
Police found bullet casings in the parking lot. Investigators were unaware of any injuries.
