A man who crashed his pickup truck outside Fairfax was arrested on allegations of intoxicated driving and threatening police, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The suspect drove off an embankment along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on White’s Hill at about 11 a.m. Monday, said CHP Officer Andrew Barclay. An officer was sitting in his patrol car on the side of the road when it happened.
The suspect became combative and the officer called for assistance. After police detained the driver, he threatened to harm an officer’s family, Barclay said.
Patrick David Cook, 23, of Forest Knolls was booked into Marin County jail on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest and criminal threats. He remained in jail Tuesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
