A helicopter crew rescued a man who fell from a cliff in the Marin Headlands over the weekend.
The incident happened at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday near Battery Alexander in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, said Deputy Rob Dillion of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The agency sent its helicopter at the request of Southern Marin firefighters.
The air crew lifted the victim up in a “horse collar” style harness and carried him to safety, Dillion said. He did not have details about what led to the incident.
