Authorities have arrested two Novato men in separate child pornography investigations.
The Novato Police Department, which works with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, received information about suspicious downloads in the city, Novato police Sgt. Alan Bates said.
Novato police identified the suspects and executed warrants at both their residences on Wednesday, Bates said. He said the cases are unrelated.
Jorge Ramirez, 59, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of possessing child porn. He remained in custody Friday in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Brian Craig Moylan, 67, was booked on suspicion of possessing and disseminating child porn. He is being held without a bail amount.
The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Secret Service participated in the investigations.
