A pedestrian suffered major injuries after a sedan driver struck her in Novato on Tuesday, police said.
The incident was reported around 7 a.m. near the intersection of South Novato Boulevard and Arthur Street. Novato police Lt. Sophia Winter said a Volvo driver was traveling on southbound South Novato Boulevard before hitting the pedestrian.
The 24-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized. The 23-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Winter said.
Police do not suspect intoxication as a factor in the incident.
