San Rafael police arrested a suspect Thursday in a child pornography investigation.
The case started with a tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, said police Sgt. Chris Duncan. The information alleged that a lewd video involving a child was uploaded to a Snapchat account.
Investigators traced the transmission to a residence on Woodland Avenue, identified the Snapchat account holder and obtained a search warrant for the home.
Police booked Sean Michael Nafius, 20, into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography. His bail amount is set at $50,000.
